Common Questions people ask before buying embroidery machines from TheEmbroideryWarehouse.
Turn Around Times
“What are your turn around times from the time we make the purchase?”
(Generally, a purchase takes 1-21 days to process. Below is the breakdown)
Turn around times might depend on if the machine purchase is a new or used machine and if it is in stock or not.
Used machines might be in various states of refurbishment. Depending on the stage or refurbishment they are on, it might take 1-15 business days on average to have the machine ready, from cleaning, QC, etc.
New machines might need a final quality control as well which might take 1-7 business days.
Once your payment is submitted and received in our bank account, a PAID invoice is created using your estimate. Once the PAID invoice is generated, it is then sent to our warehouse for processing the equipment as well as to shipping to start scheduling shipping. A copy should also be sent to your email. At this point (typically 1-2 days after payment) you should start hearing from both our technicians and admin in regards to shipping, etc. You should receive updates every 1-3 business day.
In the meantime, the machine will be prepped and packaged as well as all shipping scheduled. Once the shipping is scheduled, and the machine is shipped, it should take 1-7 business days to receive.
If the machine is not in stock, for example a prepurchase, then expect more delays depending on the purchase. However, in this case you will know if it is a prepurchase and delays should be expected.
Note, the estimated times listed only apply to continental USA domestic sales.
Shipping Costs and Procedures
Shipping Costs are quoted by 3rd party shipping companies. Shipping quotes can take sometimes up to 24 hours or more. It is recommended we get an individual shipping quote per shipment.
Small machines such as 1 head and 2 heads are usually crated. Larger multiheads are usually shipped LTL Direct partial load without unloading the equipment where only TEWH personnel loads and only customer unloads the equipment.
Local shipments or shipments around 1 day are sometimes done with TEWH personnel/tecs. We usually charge 3-4 times our expenses on these situations where expenses can include labor, vehicle, gas, etc.
Local shipments can be in the range of $400-$1200 depending on how close the shipment is and the size of the equipment.
1 head machines that are crated and shipped maybe around the price of $500-$850 depending on the size of the machine and where its going.
Multihead machines might be around the range of $850-$3500 to ship depending on the location and the size of the machine. These go uncrated and direct without unloading.
The prices above are only estimates and only reflective of the date of the last update of this document. It is recommended to get updated prices.
Unloading, Installation and Training on the equipment
TheEmbroideryWarehouse offers Unloading, Installation and Training at the customers location. However, all of these services are extra and not included with any listed prices.
Unloading the equipment will vary for each situation. It is very recommended that the customer provided all logistics and rigging. TheEmbroideryWarehouse can offer these services but, they will be at a very inflated price due. It is recommended the customer final local moving or rigging companies (if needed) to unload the equipment. Flat bed wreckers are usually used when the customer does not have a dock. TEWH can help assist in the process with advice, etc but again it is recommended the customer arrange all unloading.
Installation of the equipment typically consists of leveling the equipment and any fine tuning that might need to be adjusted from shipping. Installation does not refer to any physical moving of the equipment besides leveling. The physical moving part is part of the unloading. It is recommended to have a tech or an expert operator install the equipment as sometimes needle depths or timing might need to slightly need to be readjusted after moving the equipment. The larger the machine or the more heads it has, the more likely it will need a proper installation for optimal performance. TEWH offers these services. An installation might take 1 day or possibly 2 depending on the number of heads. The charge for such services from TEWH would be the general daily labor fee plus expenses.
Just like Installation, training is also provided by our inhouse techs at the same daily labor rate plus expenses as installation. We generally recommend 1-3 days of training after the machine has been installed, depending on operator learning curve or experience.
